Kat Slater Actress Jessie Was Suspended From The Show?
EastEnders viewers know all about the iconic Kat Slater and her dramatic storylines, which include the baby swap scandal and the jaw-dropping revelation that Zoe was actually her daughter and not her sister.
While her life in Albert Square has been more than a little turbulent, the actress herself has dealt with a lot when it comes to getting banned from the BBC soap on more than one occasion.
Jessie Wallace joined the soap opera in 2000, but she hasn’t been on our screens solidly for the past 23 years. Some difficult moments in her life have seen her banned from the set for many months at a time. The Kat Slater actress was first suspended for two months in 2003 because of her behaviour. According to reports, she used to arrive on the set very late, which led to her suspension.
Next up, the famous star was reportedly asked to leave the British Soap Awards before they started for pre-boozing. In addition to this, four years ago, in 2020, Wallace was temporarily written out of the storylines after getting banned again over an incident while filming the show’s 35th anniversary special. A well-placed source revealed that Jessie was hauled off into a crisis meeting after she showed up drunk on the set.
