During a family Sunday lunch at Jack Branning’s house, Jack discovers a pregnancy test box. The senior cop then shares it with Denise. While speaking in an interview, Kitty, who plays Penny, said, “The full Branning family unit is gathered at Jack’s for a lovely family Sunday lunch. However, when Jack finds a pregnancy test box, he shares his discovery with Denise. It’s because in typical Branning fashion, nothing in this household can ever remain a secret.”
The pair points fingers at everybody, even the young girl Lily. However, nobody expected it to be Penny. The actor shared, “Nobody expects it, and there’s a lot of confusion. Jack immediately can’t believe what he is hearing and wants to talk it through. However, Denise wants to protect Penny’s privacy, given that they are at a family dinner. And it’s an intense and private conversation to have.”
Meanwhile, even Penny is struggling with the reality. The new mum thinks about being a young disabled mother. Kitty added, “She’s very independent and wouldn’t lean on someone unless she absolutely had to. It brings up a lot of feelings she wasn’t prepared to confront…she’s scared. The reality of potentially becoming a disabled young mum is overwhelming and hard to take in.” And over time, Penny begins to open up.
