EastEnders legend Lorraine Stanley was left fuming after she walked into her house to discover the ‘vile’ state her tenants had left it in. The 48-year-old actress, who became a household name after starring as Karen Taylor in the BBC soap, is preparing to sell her house after she was dropped from the soap. Karen Taylor actress Lorraine Stanley was enraged after she saw the condition her house left in before she sold it. Selling your own house can definitely be a stressful time, but sadly, the situation became worse for the actor as Lorraine’s property was left in an awful condition by the people staying there. While addressing this issue, Stanley took to Instagram and posted some pictures to call out her former tenants.
Posting a series of pictures of the mess, she furiously wrote, “Thanks for leaving us some ketchup sachets! We broke our back cleaning our property for our buyers to move in, absolute mingers!” She then added a number of hashtags that read: “House move. No respect. No class. Trash. The rest of the house was vile!! Shame on you. Deep clean tomorrow. Raise the bar.”
Lorraine’s character Karen was last seen in Walford in February, after soap bosses confirmed in 2023 that she was going to be written out of the show. She played the role of matriarch Karen for seven years before getting the boot, and fans were heartbroken to see her storyline end. However, thankfully for the viewers, Lorraine has hinted that she might return to Walford sometime in the future for sure.

As for now, Stanley has been working on a new project after landing a role in the upcoming movie Departures. The movie follows the journey of Benji and his relationship with a married man named Luke. Lorraine is set to play Janet, who is Benji’s mum and is described as encompassing an “old school mentality”, as she struggles to accept her son’s sexuality.
