EastEnders actress Natalie Cassidy’s last scene is all set to air next week. The actress announced her exit earlier in January. Very soon the character will be saying goodbye to her fellow residents. Cassidy has spoken about the most emotional scene, according to her.
In the finale week, she will be seen sharing on-screen space with fellow resident Phil Mitchell. Cassidy added, “I love how they nod to their shared history.” She explained how ‘Sonia was in love with late godson Jamie’. Natalie further added that ‘the two always had a connection between them’.
The actress also said that she had tears when she read the script. “It was a simple, tiny scene, but it meant a lot,” she added. Natalie also said that ‘she is happy her character got the chance to say goodbye to Steve.’ Cassidy further praised his co-star by saying how incredible he is. ‘He should get a BAFTA, and she petitioned for it on her social media about the same,’ she added. She added, “Steve is a friend, and I’ve learnt a lot from him over the years; his work ethic is unbelievable.”

Natalie also opened up about how she was scared to work with McFadden, who is “so good at what he does”. She added that she was actually frightened of him. Cassidy added that ‘she is a good friend of Steve, but she cannot help being scared of Phil when on set.’
The actress remembered the time when there was a crying situation between the actors, two decades ago. She shared her experience when she had to stand against Phil. Natalie elaborated the scene and later added that, “Screaming, I was like, ‘I have made it now.’ Once you’ve done a scene like that with Steve McFadden, you have made it.”
Natalie’s final scene will be aired next week. She will be seen struggling to handle her sister’s lie and betrayal. Later there will be a stalking episode as well for the sisters. Soon after which she might decide to take a leave. Indeed, it will be heart-wrenching to see her leave. But we wish her all the luck and hope to see her someday back on the same.
