Former EastEnders star Rita Simons is officially engaged to her boyfriend of five years. The actress who played the role of Roxy on the BBC soap announced the news with an adorable picture of herself and her beau. She took to her Instagram and posted the picture with the caption, “… .so this happened! @benjyharlow,” as the actress showed off her beautiful engagement ring.
Simons met her now-fiance Ben while starring as Paulette Bonafonte in the musical. Fortunately, Harlow portrayed the role of her on-stage love interest, and the romance soon heated up with the duo off-screen, too. According to The Sun, the pair grew closer to each other while touring the UK in 2017 and 2018. This news comes after Rita confirmed that she had split from ex-husband Theo in 2018 after 14 years of marriage.
