EastEnders actor Shane Richie has hinted towards a new and huge upcoming plot, that is going to be bigger than 40th anniversary episodes. The actor is well known for playing Alfie Moon on the soap. EastEnders’ Shane Richie Hints At An Upcoming Huge Storyline
EastEnders actor Shane Richie recently made an appearance at The British Soap Awards 2025. Speaking with The Mirrors, he revealed that soon there will be a dramatic storyline upcoming for Kat and Alfie. He used the word “fireworks” for what is upcoming for the couple. Richie also added that Ben Wadey has spoken to him about the upcoming plot for his and Kat’s character. Shane said, “He (Ben Wadey) has told me some things. I said, ‘Let me sit down.’”
He further added, “There’s fireworks, there’s Kat and Alfie. There is a story that is about to kick in, which will carry on through to after Christmas.” Further making the huge announcement, he said that it is a big story, and if the viewers thought that the 40th was big, then wait until this story gets on the floor. “That’s all I’m saying,” he added. Well, the actor did not state exactly what is upcoming, but it seems to be really big. He also stated that this plot is going to be way larger than the 40th anniversary one.
Shane Said He Would Love If Spencer Were Back.
While the 40th anniversary one had intense drama, we also had to bid goodbye to everyone’s favourite Martin Fowler. Does it mean that we have to brace ourselves for another devastated goodbye from the soap? Shane said that his brother Spencer, played by Christopher Parker, is likely to come back some day.
“One of my sons keeps in touch with Christopher, but he’s a lawyer now,” he said. He further added, “I would love to think that one day they might bring back Spencer, but so much is going on at the moment.” Well, time will tell what is upcoming.
