Shona McGarty, who has played Whitney Jean in the soap, was a part of many intense storylines, including being groomed by Tony King and later ending her pregnancy due to Edwards’ Syndrome. The soap actor bid farewell to the soap in May last year. She played her character in EastEnders for sixteen years. In the soap, Zack Hudson betrayed Whitney Jean. So, Whitney Jean decided to move to Wakefield along with her daughters, Britney and Dolly, to live with her brother, Ryan.
Elsewhere, Shona McGarty had a big moment last week. She made her West End debut. She is playing the character of Bettie Page in the popular musical Queen of the Pin-Ups. The former EastEnders star also shared about it on social media. She posted a video of her performance on Instagram, portraying her new role as a pin-up model. The actor added in the caption that it was an honour to tell Bettie Page’s story in the world premiere of the musical.
