EastEnders actress Shona McGarty recently attended the BRIT Awards at Manchester’s Co-op Live. It was her first time at the ceremony. Also, the actress finished in third place on I’m A Celebrity last December. Shona now described the experience as “surreal” and admitted she’s always dreamed of performing on that stage. Shona was seen wearing a floor-length black dress by Lia Stublla. It had sheer panels and silver chains. Also, her look was styled with long black evening gloves and a Kurt Geiger bag. Even the fashion critics praised her “gothic chic” appearance.
Elsewhere, it was a special night for the actor as she reunited with her I’m A Celebrity friends. She spent time with the winner, Angry Ginge, runner-up, Tom Read Wilson and Vogue Williams. The actor also praised the BRITs for inviting her. And she shared selfies with Sharon Osbourne, Maya Jama, and musician Sky Newman.
Also, after leaving the BBC soap, Shona has worked hard on her debut as a professional singer. She released her first single, “Unapologetically Me,” last October. Also, on the red carpet, Shona joked about her quiet life in Hertfordshire. She compared her small village to the rival soap opera Emmerdale.

Shona played Whitney Dean on the soap and was a part of several storylines. In 2024, Whitney and Zack Hudson visited Whitney’s stepmother, Bianca Jackson. Over there, she grew close to a teenager, Britney Wainwright. Also, Whitney wanted to save her from her drug-addicted mother. So she secretly paid the mother for guardianship. After which, it created a rift between Whitney and Zack.
Later, she returned to Walford with her and Zack’s miracle baby. However, a heavily pregnant Whitney was mowed down by a car while she tried to help Britney. However, she and the baby survived. Later, she gave birth to Dolly Dean-Hudson. However, soon everything was ruined for her.
Her partner Zack had a one-night stand with her best friend Lauren Branning. At her wedding, she overheard everything and called off the wedding. She also slapped Lauren with her bouquet.
