The newcomer Stephen has come back to reprise the character Mark Fowler Jr. The returnee was deeply involved in a drug cartel. Now, the actor has posted an Instagram story in honour of his co-actor Steve McFadden. Steve plays Phil Mitchell on the BBC soap.
Sharing an image of the two, Stephen wrote, “Steve McFadden is such a powerhouse…I’m so lucky I get to work and learn from him.” Adding further, he said, “Also, Phil would batter Mark all day long.” And this touching tribute to our favourite soap’s legend shows how much he respects Steve as an actor.
Phil Mitchell’s Intervention Saved Mark Fowler Jr. In EastEnders
As we know, Mark was given the task by his gang to find and kill a police informant. However, what he didn’t know earlier was that Ravi Gulati is the rat. Also, Mark was warned that if he failed to do so, his sister Vicki Fowler would be targeted.
Desperate to save her brother, Vicki asked Phil Mitchell for help. However, Phil was dealing with his own struggles. Despite this, he used his criminal contacts to negotiate a way out for Mark. After this, Phil was successful in getting the gang to call off their plan. However, they demanded some ransom to settle Mark’s debt.
Later, Phil told him that his influence only went so far. Also, he will have to pay the money to save himself. To raise the money, Mark planned a dodgy scheme. Viewers saw that Mark showed interest in buying a car from the Brannings ’ car lot. And so he and Lauren went out for a test drive. But soon, in Mark’s absence, Lauren was attacked by a thug. Recently, it was revealed that Mark had paid the thug to steal the money.
