Ravi Reaches A Dangerous Crisis
The resident’s mental health has been on a decline due to the guilt surrounding his criminal exploitation of Kojo and Harry Mitchell. Along with that he also has a burden of working as an undercover police informant. Hence, these things have left the man feeling unable to protect his family.
Now, his behaviour is becoming increasingly erratic. Even viewers have witnessed the beginning of a self-harm plot. Later this month the situation will peak when Ravi decides to take his own life. The show’s Executive producer noted that the team took great care with this story.
Their goal is to tackle the stigma around such struggles. They also want anyone who’s in a similar position to seek help. The soap wants to highlight the internal pain behind the tough exterior. Hence, this will create a safe place for important conversations.
The Family Intervenes To Offer Support In EastEnders
In the climax, the Gulati family will step in to help their relative. At one point Ravi believes that there’s no way out. But his loved one convinced him to accept the professional assistance he needs. All these things happen after a period of extreme violence. This includes a recent attack on his son, Nugget. As we know this occurred after a revenge plot involving the Mitchells.

Lorna Fraser from Samaritans expressed pride in supporting the state. She stated, “Storylines responsibly reflecting experiences of mental health and suicide can help tackle stigma. And encourage viewers who might be struggling to talk about how they are feeling.”
