Aunt Babe Actress Annette Drops Hint About Her Return
EastEnders bosses have hinted that for the soap’s 40th milestone, they will be bringing a lot of nostalgia to their viewers. And now, actress Annette Badland, who used to portray the role of Aunt Babe on the BBC programme, has suggested that she might come back to the show. She played the iconic villain of Walford from 2014 to 2017, and Mick Carter drove Babe out of her family.
So, it seems like Aunt Babe might be prepping up for her spectacular return to wreak further havoc in Walford after her emotional exile. The character also publicly cursed the famous Queen Vic pouring rain, which seems to have worked pretty well. We are sure viewers will be very excited to see her returning and creating commotion all around.
This comes following Annette’s appearance on a repeat broadcast of Love Your Weekend with Alan Titchmarsh. The presenter, Alan, asked her about a potential return to the BBC soap. To which Annette responded with eagerness and said, “Yes. Yes I would,” reports the Daily Star.
Furthermore, Alan highlighted the cursing scene, and the duo laughed about it. Annette continued to mention that she might come back, but she doesn’t know when, and reminisced about working with Danny Dyer and Kellie Bright.

Ever since Aunt Babe’s departure, the Carter family has truly been cursed. As soon as she left, Mick and Linda went through a painful divorce before their reconciliation and unexplained disappearance at sea in March 2017, while Sylvie Carter met her demise in a terrible accident.
In a more recent storyline, Linda Carter’s world was spiralled by her vile rapist brother-in-law Dean Wicks. It looks like it’s high time for Aunt Babe to come home and lift the jinx from the Carter clan so they can live happily.
This speculation comes after EastEnders’ boss, Chris Clenshaw, confirmed that numerous soap legends will be making a return to celebrate the soap’s 40th anniversary next year.
