EastEnders Youngster Ellie Targeted By A Stalker
EastEnders teenage icon Ellie Dadd has been targeted by a stalker, and the 19-year-old has finally opened up about it. The star, who plays the dramatic Amy Mitchell on the BBC soap, has been receiving a shocking number of messages from a sneak over the course of seven months. According to court records, she was being targeted by a 21-year-old girl named Cora Upple.
As per The Sun, in a bid to raise awareness against online abuse, Dadd would post stories and posts tagging the victim in them. Medway magistrates’ court also heard Upple’s campaign and noted that it ‘amounted to harassment.’ Ellie was forced to take out a restraining order. The stalker also admitted that she violated a stalking prevention order that was given to her in October 2023.
‘This raises concerns for all celebrities as to whether they are protected from people who don’t understand the impact of stalking,’ a source told the publication. This case was admitted in August, and Upple was handed a suspended nine-month sentence just before Christmas, and also given a stalking prevention that will be valid for five years.

As for Ellie’s stint on the BBC show, she made her way to Walford in 2022. Previously, the role of Amy was portrayed by Abbie Burke. She has been a part of several intriguing storylines which include mental health issues like self-harming. Last year, Amy was caught in the club crush at Peggy’s and suffered a major injury.
