Yolande Trueman requests permission to celebrate Patrick’s 85th birthday at the pub. Eager Elaine gets over her hesitation to entertain because Linda Carter has been drained since George’s departure.
After being forced to organise Patrick’s party at short notice, the Queen Vic landlady is furious when her mother vanishes and leaves her to run the bar alone. George walks up and offers to help when he notices Linda struggling.
George was fuming, and he doesn’t like the landlady’s response because he’s trying to fix the situation and put the family’s financial stability first.
He hits back by revealing he’s hired a new legal expert to handle the divorce, who’s told him he could have a claim on The Vic, meaning he could take full control under the pub owner’s nose.

While the adults gather at the Fox-Trueman mansion, Denzel Danes and his friends are left in charge of the kids on the Square.
