EastEnders viewers are accustomed to witnessing each twist in Walford, yet this time around, the storylines are not the main point of debate. Recent onscreen moments have left viewers feeling frustrated and distracted. Regular viewers are now demanding that the series tackle what they call a “ridiculous” on-screen tradition. Scroll down to see what fans are saying.
EastEnders Fans Notice a Repeated Mistake That’s Difficult to Ignore
Viewers have sharp eyes, and one ongoing blunder has started to get on their nerves. It’s not dramatic exits or wild plot twists grabbing attention; it’s something much simpler: empty mugs.
Fans keep spotting characters sipping from empty mugs, whether at home or in Kathy’s Café.
In a recent episode, Phil Mitchell made tea for George Knight, but fans quickly noticed the mugs had nothing in them.
They ranted on Reddit, initiating a post entitled “Empty Cups!”, and the folks grumbled nonstop. One of the viewers cried, “Why do they not put an actual drink in it? It is one of my greatest pet peeves, viewing soaps.”
Another said, “How they fling their empty cups around like they are so light and do not concern themselves with spillages drives me crazy.”
A finger was pointed, jokingly saying, “Ben Wadey, sort it out, please!” Others agreed that it is a quick fix: just add some water to give the cup a bit of weight.
One viewer pointed out a scene with Bianca during the anniversary week, saying she clearly swallowed air and gently placed down an empty mug.
Devoted viewers find it distracting and hope the new team finally steps in to fix it. For more EastEnders spoilers & updates, continue to follow Soap Opera Daily.
