What Was The Reason For Teddy Mitchell’s Exit?
Many users think that the new production era under Ben Wadey did not want to include Teddy in the long-term plans. The team wanted to shift their focus completely to Nicola. Hence, this change in priority is likely the reason for the actor’s exit. Meanwhile, some users believe that the actor’s contract may have ended without renewal. And others point to his busy schedule outside the soap.
Also, the Teddy Mitchell actor did not post the traditional goodbye video. Hence, it has fueled speculation that he was unhappy about being axed. We know that Teddy Mitchell’s final appearance aired on December 11 last year. Teddy had taken the blame for the murder of drug dealer Okie Okyere. However, in reality the crime was actually committed by his son. Harry killed him in self-defence. Later, Teddy was sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum of 20 years. Also, he was transferred to a prison in Durham.
