EastEnders: Zoe Slater Reunites With Kat in New On-Set Photos
Zoe Slater stunned fans with her temporary return last month. She did not feature in Albert Square but instead appeared in Stacey’s flat, where Alfie was also a guest.
Things escalated when Zoe had a dramatic confrontation with her mother, Kat. Later, she escaped to Barcelona, confessing she was keeping a secret so huge that people would despise her if they knew.
Now that it is confirmed Zoe will be back later this year and production has gotten underway, first-look images show Michelle Ryan on set with Sonny Kendall, who features as Tommy Moon, Kat and Alfie’s son.
Zoe and Tommy have never crossed paths, but these photos hint at their first meeting soon.
Zoe has also never even met her other half-brothers, Bert and Ernie, leaving the door open for some more family drama. Avid fans of the show realise that Zoe’s past with Kat has never been smooth sailing.
From bombshells regarding Kat’s past to heart-wrenching facts about Zoe’s identity, these two have experienced it all. While there was a temporary reunion, things ultimately fell through once again, and they are now completely estranged.
Alfie’s Secret, Kat’s Suspicions, and Trouble Ahead
Alfie is still in Barcelona at the moment, attempting to persuade Zoe to return home. But he did not confess to Kat. Instead, he said that he was going to Australia to assist his brother Spencer.
Kat is not believing him, though. She informed Kathy that she had not heard from Alfie since he departed, and Spencer’s odd behaviour on the phone only served to make her more suspicious.
Before she departed, Kat told Alfie that if he deceived her, then their relationship would be over. That threat still lingers, and with the approach of Zoe’s return, Alfie’s lie could soon come crashing down.
The new storylines are the first major arc since new executive producer Ben Wadey took the reins. He told us how thrilled he is to have Michelle Ryan back, having put Zoe Slater on his dream list. Zoe’s storylines have aged amazingly well, he said, and her return is just the start of things to come.
Also back is Karen Henthorn, playing Julie Bates once again, as Nigel’s dementia plot continues to unfold. For more EastEnders spoilers and news, keep following Soap Opera Daily.
