DS Spencer later questioned both of them after the shooting. Jack lied that he was recruiting Ravi as an informant. On the side, even Ravi Gulati lied. He said he was with Jack Branning during the incident. Their statements only complicated the matter further. This made them join hands with each other temporarily to protect themselves.
They agreed to hide the gun together. However, DS Spencer arrived there, and Jack decided to change their plan. Ravi got angry at Jack for changing their plan at the last moment. Jack insisted that he would hide the weapon later in the day. Jack had been planning something behind Ravi’s back. He wants to keep Ravi far so that he plants the gun and frames him for the shooting. He wants Ravi to be held responsible for it.
Jack starts manipulating Ravi. He asks him to leave Walford. He asks him to act as a destroyer while he protects the evidence. Ravi wants to stay out of this trouble, so he agrees to leave Albert Square. However, he has no idea that all this was a trap planted by Jack. He sneaked into No. 5A. Soon, an unexpected person enters, and Jack panics.

Jack was hiding the gun when Priya returned to the flat. Jack had no other option. He had to drop his plan before Priya saw him. Ravi grows suspicious of Jack, believing Jack is trying to make him the scapegoat. However, Jack was determined. He thought of hiding the gun later. Priya’s presence in the flat also made things difficult for Ravi.
Both men had to think of something big quickly so that nobody would doubt them. They did not want anybody to learn their secret. Because if anybody does, it would land them in trouble. They might even face prison.
