One of the Emmerdale actors talked about a storyline that is set for a revisit and addressed the significant backlash she received from that. Next week, there will be a revisit to Frank Clayton’s death plot from 2019, when he passed away in the fire at the factory.
The Iconic Death Plot On Emmerdale Gets Fan Reaction
Frank’s death happened when he was trying to rescue his daughter Tracy Melcalfe from the fire. Kerry Wyatt and her daughter Amy caused the fire during a botched attempt to steal money from the factory.
As a result, Kerry Wyatt, aka Laura Norton, recently addressed the backlash she faced from the fans of this storyline. Now that the plot is set for a revisit and revelation, Kerry wonders if she must be ready for another round of backlash.
In the upcoming week, we will see Kerry at a moral crossroads again as the past memories haunt her decision. Kerry is trying desperately to prevent Eric Pollard from setting his shop on fire. However, Eric is determined to get the insurance money to repay Brenda.
As she convinces him, she contemplates confessing the devastating secret she and Amy have guarded for years. Laura Norton finally talks about the plot, saying how guilty Kerry feels even though it wasn’t portrayed much on screen.
She said, “She’s riddled with guilt and regret. And this is Kerry; she constantly makes bad decisions and then tries to move forward. She tries to better herself so she doesn’t make these silly choices. It always seems to lead her to terrible consequences. She’s carrying that around; she must live with these people in the village and always see them.”
We can’t help but speculate if Kerry will finally come clean or still keep the past buried. Only the upcoming Emmerdale spoilers can reveal. Till then, stay tuned to Soap Opera Daily for more soap updates.
