Kevin Mathurin joined the soap in 2020 as Charles Anderson. He made his first appearance in early 2021 along with his son, Ethan. His most significant relationship was with Manpreet Sharma. However, after the death of Ethan, they separated. Ethan was a victim of a hit-and-run by Ruby. She wanted to get revenge for Ethan leaving Nicky for dead after their crash.
Though Charles had a quiet 2025 in the village, the actor joked that Coronation Street might need a new vicar after Billy Mayhew’s death in Corriedale. Meanwhile, for the first time, ITV merged Emmerdale and Coronation Street for the crossover episode. Forty members were a part of it. A multi-vehicle pile-up occurred, changing the lives of the residents.

But when Lisa received a call from Carla, they collided with John’s car. Then a multi-car pile-up happened. Though Carla stopped the minibus from hitting the cars, Billy Mayhew swerved the vehicle. Then he died as he was stuck, and Theo didn’t help him.
Elsewhere, Kevin shared pictures on social media. He wrote that he heard there was a vacancy and added his sincere condolences to the people of Weatherfield. There was also a side note claiming that he was only up the road, and he drives.
