Paula Lane joined the soap in 2024 as Ella Forester. She was a part of various dramatic and shocking storylines in the village. She found herself a job after she stuck up for Mandy Dingle at a Veterinary Ball. Ella had a difficult time after her separation from Liam Cavanagh. He decided to pursue a relationship with Chas. Furthermore, the problems arose for the character. Ella was blamed for tampering with Chas’s medicines.
Liam also turned against Ella. She tried again to convince him, but ended up in prison after a massive chase in the woods. Thus, she exited the soap. Meanwhile, Paula shared that she had a lovely experience on the soap and met some wonderful people.
Five months after her exit, Paula Lane took to social media to share her pregnancy. Paula and her husband, Sir Tom Shaw, were expecting their next baby boy in December. Her children, Arthur, was born in 2014, and Penny in 2016.
