Charles Gets Suspicious About Belle & Tom’s Equation

Actress Emma Atkins (Charity Dingle) reveals that her alter ego might be the one to explore Tom King’s evil side. In the coming week, Charity, Chas, Mandy, and Lydia force Belle to open up about her marriage with her husband, Tom King. However, Belle gets intimidated and leaves. 

Charity follows her and finds her crying outside. The Woolpack lady comforts Belle, and the emotional chat finally prompts her to share her feelings. But before she could say anything, Tom shoves Charity. The vet explains to everyone that Belle’s odd behaviour is because of her mental health struggles. Nevertheless, it looks like Charity isn’t buying it!

The actress believes her character will see the signs of abuse because of her own past experiences. Emma explains that Tom is now in a wheelchair after being electrocuted, and Belle is acting like a ‘frightened housewife’ around him. She added that her character, Charity, seems to be the only one noticing anything amiss.

Next week, Charity even questions Belle regarding Tom calling Belle’s mobile during a girly night. The soap star also mentioned that having a character start to figure out Tom’s true nature would ‘excite the audience.’ Meanwhile, Dingles fear that Charity might be overreacting.

In an interview with Digital Spy, Emma shared that Charity feels extremely frustrated when others doubt her concerns. She is concerned, especially after the recent encounter. The star stated. “She (Charity) is like ‘, holy moly, this is another level of control.”
