The soap fans know that Kim Tate attended the dinner with the Dingles. However, she felt ill and collapsed. Thus, she was rushed to the hospital. There has been a mystery surrounding her illness. There have been suspicions as to who is responsible for Kim’s collapse. Meanwhile, in today’s episode, a sinister phone call revealed who the culprit is.
The soap even launched a mini whodunnit plot this week. In Wednesday’s instalment, Chas Dingle was disturbed to know Kim’s health crisis was being treated as poisoning. She gathered her family in The Woolpack’s back room. The accusations led to Cain and Caleb fighting.
The family reflected on Kim’s recent meal at Wishing Well Cottage. Sam was dubious when he learned that doctors suspected the mushrooms were to blame. He couldn’t keep quiet about Cain being the one who told him where to forage the mushrooms.

Meanwhile, Joe Tate returned from his trip and stayed by Kim’s bedside while she recovered in the hospital. But Kim was not impressed by Joe. She knew that he was unbothered. According to her, Joe isn’t off the suspect list. Though he claimed that he was away at the time of her poisoning and collapse. Thus, it is certainly not the first time that he disappeared to give himself an alibi.
Meanwhile, at the end of the episode, the doctors gave a firm explanation. There was a flashback showing someone making a sinister phone call, which explained everything. The soap fans saw Graham talking to someone that the double dose of medication hadn’t worked.
