Emmerdale and Coronation Street fans are in for a frustrating week as both soaps are temporarily axed from ITV’s schedule. The disruption comes as the channel makes room for live coverage of an England football match and the 2024 National Television Awards. This comes at a crucial time in Dales, as Tom King and Belle Dingle’s storyline has taken an intense turn. Read to know the full schedule!
Soaps’ Schedule Shake-Up for Football and NTAs
This week, ITV soaps are being temporarily pulled from the schedule. With an England football match on the way, Emmerdale won’t air on ITV1 on September 10, 2024 (Tuesday). This leaves viewers on edge as they eagerly await to see what’s next for Belle and Tom.
Next, on September 13, 2024 (Wednesday), the National Television Awards will be broadcast live from London’s O2 Arena. Hence, Corrie won’t air that night. The Masked Singer UK presenter Joel Dommett will host this glitzy event. Fans can catch the actors on the red carpet from 8 p.m. to 10:35 p.m.
But don’t worry, an episode of Emmerdale will air on Wednesday, right before the 2024 NTAs. The award ceremony will see big shows competing for the public’s vote. This Morning won Best Daytime/Live Magazine Show for over ten years. However, things were not the same after the hosts, Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby, left their jobs.
In 2023, the show didn’t even make it to the nominations. Let us see what the ceremony has in its store this year. For more Emmerdale and Coronation Street updates, keep checking Soap Opera Daily! Why keep taking Emmerdale and Coronation St off for rotten football? Not everybody wants to watch a ball being kicked around a field. They have sports channels for things like that and they should be used for these matches if there’s a charge then either waver the price or let the suppporters pay the fee. It isn’t fair to the people who follow these soaps all week and for some people they live for them. Wake up ITV what your doing is wrong and unfair. Your channel will go under if you lose your viewers.
I agree I was miffed ar nit bring able to see cora on Wed night fed up with our dials being taken off fir stupid foot ball put football on another channel please leave our snaps alone please 🙏 m
Programme controllers should be sacked if regular shows are not show at their normal times because of some silly sport activity such as football or rugger which should be shown on alternative channels NOT BBC1 or ITV2.
Leave our soaps alone put the other programed on another channel we are all fed up of you stopping our programs for football and other programs !
Other TV programmes should not be allowed to stop Emmerdale and coronation Street have there slot
