In Thursday’s episode, Debbie Dingle has moved to another place, away from her daughter and has secretly married. When her daughter, Sarah Sugden, learned about it, she was shocked as she wanted to tell her mother about her health issues. Meanwhile, soap fans are aware that Debbie Dingle has spent the past few years living in Scotland. Though the viewers didn’t see her on-screen, the Dingle family often mentioned visiting her.
Sarah Sugden was concerned as the doctors told her that she could have cervical cancer. The nineteen-year-old wanted to tell her mother about it during a phone call. Unfortunately, she didn’t get a chance to inform her about her health as Debbie Dingle shared her big news first.
After talking to her, Sarah got emotional and went to meet her grandmother, Charity Dingle, at The Woolpack. She told her that Debbie had gone. She revealed to Charity that her mother had moved to Australia after secretly marrying her current partner, Chris.
Charity Is Shocked!
Charity Dingle was furious and asked Sarah whether Debbie was actually in Australia. Sarah said she went there that morning. When she called, they had just arrived. Furthermore, they got married three weeks ago.
Charity called Debbie a little cow for staying quiet through all the months of planning and paperwork. Debbie wanted to leave her old life and the Dingles. That is why she didn’t attend Zak’s funeral in October last year, saying she was too upset to participate in it.
This shows that Sarah Sugden won’t be a part of Sarah’s upcoming storyline, which will unfold in the coming week and months. Meanwhile, in real life, Charley Webb, who played Debbie Dingle, left the Emmerdale regular cast in 2019. She returned for a guest episode in 2020 and 2021.
