Joe-Warren Plant plays Jacob Gallagher on the soap. And he described filing Corriedale as one of the most demanding projects of his career. He was initially asked to take part in the crossover. Elsewhere, he was excited but also felt uncertain. He did know how it would work. He further explained, “I was really excited! Obviously, you have that whole wondering how the story is going to go and how they’re going to make it interact, but I was over the moon. “
Moreover, he worked with the Coronation Street cast for the first time. And it was another interesting experience for him. Joe-Warren called himself a “fan boy. The project was unique because there was a combination of new cast and stunts. They shot for three weeks at night, and it required long hours and focus.
Moreover, many scenes had a single chance for success. And so there was no room for committing errors. He said, “There was a lot of waiting around as well, but what we were filming was obviously really important.”
Cast Collaboration And Filming Techniques
Because of this crossover, both the cast members got extended time for interaction. And Joe-Warren says that this extra time helped build relationships. It also allowed for breaking down barriers between the actors.
“We had a lot of time to interact with each other in the dressing rooms and stuff, everyone was really grateful, he said.” It also helped to build comfort and chemistry on set. This was important for those scenes which were filmed at night.
Even the filming techniques were different from what he had experienced before. He said, “Even the way the camera was set up was different to anything I have filmed before.” Elsewhere, it was their intensity that worked positively for performances. Some scenes required precise timing. And this made the performances believable and strong.
