Danny Miller Had An Injury!
Danny Miller, who plays Aaron Dingle, has disclosed a secret that the soap didn’t know. He shared that there was a rewrite to Aaron Dingle’s storyline. Danny has played Aaron on and off the screen since 2008 and returned in 2023.
During the interview, when co-host Kelvin Fletcher said that the actor had won many awards, Danny shared an unexpected moment. This funny yet painful incident led to a change in Aaron’s plot.
The Emmerdale actor revealed that when he returned to the soap a few years ago, it had been a long time since he had won so many awards. So, he decided to pack them. He jokingly teased that he might auction them on eBay if he ever needed money. He put them in the loft. But as he came down the ladder, he injured his knee badly, tearing his ACL (anterior cruciate ligament).
Aaron’s Storyline Changed!
Then Danny Miller called the former soap producer, Jane Hudson and asked to rewrite his comeback to the show. He requested that he hurt his knee so badly that he couldn’t walk. They changed the storyline portraying that he had been beaten up badly, hurting his knee and couldn’t walk for six weeks.
He added that someone even asked how he got injured. The star said he didn’t reveal how he got hurt while stepping off the ladder. However, after some time, Danny told the truth to his co-stars. Now, they joke about how the actor was hurt while arranging his awards.
The actor also took to Instagram last month to share some good news with his soap fans and co-stars. He announced that he and his wife, Steph Jones, are expecting their third child.
