Soap viewers were shocked by the killing of Belle Dingle’s beloved dog, Piper, in a brutal attack. Since the episode aired, 282 people have complained to watchdog Ofcom. Viewers already know that Tom took some drastic steps to take revenge on his wife, Belle.
In a recent Emmerdale episode, Tom ran over Piper. However, he pretended to be shocked when Belle saw her beloved pup bleeding by the road. Later, Belle accused Tom of ‘killing’ Piper. However, it turned out that the dog was alive, and the evil vet did it all to mess with his wife’s emotions.
These scenes absolutely outraged fans. One fan said such disturbing scenes should not be shown on social media. They argued that human abuse is already bad enough and that this storyline needs to end quickly. Another commenter questioned, “Is there no line a soap won’t cross?”

They should not use animals , the abuse to Bell is way enough too much
I think it’s a good idea to show how Belle is being controlled by Tom, as there are many women being controlled by their husbands or either, are not aware of it or to frighten to get help.
