Family Tries To Escape A Trap In Emmerdale
Marlon was unable to come to terms with the truth that April had shared last week. Her voice still trembled in his mind. She further explained that she had been pulled into dealing drugs and pushed toward older men. Furthermore, she also named Celie and Ray as the ones running everything. They also had threatened April that they would never let her walk away. And Marlon was struggling to breathe as he saw fear in his daughter’s eyes.
Elsewhere, Rhona and Marlon thought that reporting them to the police could save April. However, that hope was killed when Celia stepped into their home without hesitation. The cruel woman then placed her phone on the table and made them watch Ray in his car. He also waited by the farm gate for Dylan. And then Ray drove the car straight at Dylan. The next day, Rhona was unsure whether they could leave the village. She kept saying that Ray and Celie have people everywhere. However, Marlon believed they could slip away before getting caught. He felt they only needed a chance, and they could be out. And so they decided to distract April. They took her to the hospital to see Dylan, who was hurt after Ray’s warning. And when Marlon left the room, he paused and looked at Dylan with fear that this might be the last chance he could see him awake.
Ray Cuts Off Their Escape
After that, they took April to the car but didn’t let her know what was really going on. Nevertheless, a little while later, she figured out that there was something off. According to her, if they go, it would be like adding fuel to the fire in the case of Dylan’s safety. In response to this, grown-ups, thinking that staying in the village will be like inviting another attack, trusted the idea of waiting no longer. It was at that moment that they were getting ready to go when a different car appeared, blocking their way.
It was Ray who waited for them. A boy on a bike had seen Rhona packing the boot that morning, and he informed Ray. Elsewhere, April apologised to him again and again. She also said that she would keep working until her debt disappeared.
Later, she insisted that Ray would not harm Dylan if she kept her promise. Subsequently, Marlon informed Rhona that they had to come up with the money to pay off April’s debt.
