The crossover episode aired on January 5. In the special episode, the soap fans saw Cain Dingle taking Sarah and Jacob to the airport for their honeymoon. Meanwhile, Mack was with Charity as he learned that his wife wasn’t carrying the couple’s baby. He was determined to tell the truth to Sarah and Jacob. Furthermore, Aaron was with John. However, the story took a turn, and everyone was injured due to the multi-vehicle crash.
Cain was also injured and was in the hospital. But his life turned upside down when the doctor informed him that Cain Dingle had been diagnosed with a life-threatening disease. As Moira had already battled a brain tumour, she was sad and heartbroken. Thus, the Dingle family is in big turmoil.
Soap Enthusiasts Are Fed Up With Cancer Storylines!
Furthermore, the soap fans were also concerned about the character. Not only are the soap viewers concerned, but also fed up with the cancer plots. One of the watchers took to social media to share their views. They shared on Facebook that they want the scriptwriters to stop with the cancer storylines. The number of characters who have had cancer is so depressing.
They added that Diane, Alice, Zac, Brenda, Donna, Vanessa, Faith, Chas, Evan, Moira and Sarah were diagnosed with cancer. Furthermore, Liam had just escaped the disease, and now Cain has been diagnosed with it. They also added that Aaron might be the next one. Though the writers want to raise awareness, the soap should be entertaining.
The other viewers agreed and wrote that it is really frustrating that the villains escape justice while the other people fall into trouble.
