Joe Absolom Slams EastEnders!
Joe Absolom, who plays Ray Walters in Emmerdale, has opened up about his former soap, EastEnders. He first appeared as Matthew Rose in the soap in 1997. Steve Owen wrongfully accused Matthew Rose of murdering Saskia Duncan. Thus, he left Albert Square in 2000. Now the actor has arrived in Dales as a drug dealer.
The soap star said that the EastEnders experience wasn’t as good as the experience on his current soap. He talked to Kate Garraway and Richard Madeley on Good Morning Britain. In Tuesday’s show, he revealed that he was a part of EastEnders a long time ago. Though it was fun, Dales is better. He kept waiting for someone to tell him that it isn’t a real job. The actor added that the team is amazing and the set is a proper place to work. He added that one doesn’t feel rushed.

The Mirror also reports that Joe’s role in Doc Martin was buzzed amid the cost-cutting that could lead to 10 percent fewer cast members. Joe Absolom said that due to so many streaming platforms the things have changed. He revealed that his role is till November as his contract ends. However, Joe thinks it is better because when the actor was a part of EastEnders, he didn’t have anything else to do. Furthermore, he has kids who won’t watch television in the same way as he did.
Joe Absolom shared that everything is changing, but it won’t go on forever, as it might become a bit boring. Though it will come around again, not in the same way. Elsewhere, the soap revealed Joe’s entry in May.
Then the actor said that it was an honour to be part of the show. He was grateful to be a part of it and was excited for Ray.
