Lousie Played Sharon 50 Years Ago – Fans are Shocked!
In 1973, Lousie Jameson appeared in four episodes of the quiet daytime soap, Emmerdale Farm. It was very different from what we see today. She played the role of Sharon Croosthwaite – a distant cousin of Annie Sugden. Her storyline became the centre stage as the character was the soap’s first murder victim.
The show included farming issues and the life of the everyday village while her storyline was quite unusual. The soap aired her storyline three months after it started. Sharon’s life took a turn when Jim Latimer raped and murdered her!
Before joining Emmerdale, she also appeared in Doctor Who as Leela – the companion of Tom Baker’s incarnation of the Doctor from 1977 to 1978. Meanwhile, Frazer Hines played Jammie McCrimmon – the companion of Patrick Troughton’s Second Doctor from 1966 to 1969.
He also made a guest appearance on the show in the 1980s. Soap fans were quite surprised to learn about her past role. One of the viewers shared a series of throwback pictures including the scenes of Lousie with Frazer. A fan responded that they didn’t know when this happened. Last week, she informed her daughter, Rhona that she was taking a break after a huge emotional battle and was going to stay with her sister due to her strained friendship with Vanessa.
Her best friend, Vanessa learned about Mary’s affair with Suzy who died in the tragic limo crash. She discovered that they both even kissed each other before Suzy’s death.
