Fans Chose From The Four Options!
Coronation Street and Emmerdale merged for the first time. Both the soaps will run every weeknight for thirty minutes. Earlier, the soap viewers learned the characters that will be part of the crossover. In an extra treat to the viewers, the producers invited the soap fans to choose which two characters from each soap could unite. The four different options given to the followers were filmed in November.
These included Charity Dingle and Carla Connor, Sam Dingle and Corrie’s Andy, Nicola King and Roy Cooper or Ross Barton and Tracy Barlow. Elsewhere, the Corriedale premiere took place at Bradford’s National Science and Media Museum.
The producer, Iain MacLeod, opened up about the additional scenes. He said that because Owen didn’t have much to do, they decided to go according to the fans’ suggestions from social media. They chose four pairs and decided to write and shoot a scene of all of them. Then, starting in January, there will be an online poll which will be free of charge.
New Couple In The Works!
Though it was stressful, it was also fun. So, there was an additional scene on January 5. The audience chose it, and the voting was closed fifteen minutes before transmission. He added that he was in the transmission suite at night.
He also said that they had designed it so that there was a juncture where it could feature. The producer didn’t disclose it, but he said that he was nervous. They had Cafe Supermos. Furthermore, if Carla and Charity ended up being together, there would be a lot of noise.
The producer also said that Ross and Tracy are flirtatious and excellent. They can’t stop flirting with each other. So there are brilliant scenes. He also added that they would find some avenue to see all of them at some point.
Meanwhile, Owen disclosed that he was begging for a movie-length, but he wanted it to be a week-long. He said that he wanted different combinations. Owen wanted the actors to sit down and talk.
