Robert’s Fight Against John’s Threats
Robert’s desperation to protect Aaron reaches boiling point when he storms into the cottage to confront John. He accuses him of murder, hoping to rattle him, but John remains unfazed. Their confrontation quickly escalates into violence, and Robert ends up knocked unconscious while John stands over him victorious.
Out in the woods, Aaron begins to piece things together about the danger he’s in. His search for the hatch that could reveal the truth about Mackenzie’s fate takes him to the edge of a gorge. Turning back, he suddenly finds himself face to face with John, who tries to spin yet another deceitful tale. Aaron, however, knows too much. He pleads with John to take him to Mack, and for a brief moment it looks as if John might agree. But Robert’s unexpected return derails everything.

Seizing control of the situation, John makes a chilling move. He phones the police and sets Robert up, making it sound like Robert is behind everything. Then, in a shocking moment, John grabs Aaron and hurls both of them over the edge of the gorge.

Chas, consumed by anger and grief, declares that Robert will pay for what happened to Aaron. Now, as the police are preparing to interview him, Robert begins to pale at the grim possibility that he could be heading back to prison.
