Robert Sugden returned to the village for Aaron Dingle and John Sugden’s wedding. He came back to interrupt the wedding and told Aaron that he was making a mistake. They even kissed. But Aaron Dingle ended up marrying John Sugden. Meanwhile, the police arrested Robert Sugden for breaking the law. However, they soon released him, and he came back to Dales.
After coming back, he went to the Mill Cottage flat. But John assumed that he was the pizza delivery guy. The couple was shocked when he came back, and he wanted to spend time with the family. Though he had another motive and was determined to expose John Sugden’s true identity. He even told them that he would see them a lot. Then Robert told Victoria that he would spend the day searching for a job. He went out for a morning walk, telling his sister that he wanted fresh air.

Robert Sugden went to the depot and met Caleb Miligan. He lied about his past and didn’t tell him that he was in prison. However, Caleb’s brother had already told him the truth. But Caleb realised that Robert wanted a fresh start, so he decided to give him a chance. But when John learned about it, he got more furious when Caleb ignored him about Robert being a bad guy.

While talking to each other, she didn’t realise that he had a bad dream about his time in prison. Then Victoria tried to wake him up, but he got confused and punched Victoria’s face.
