Anthony Plays His Next Game! What Is It?
We already know how Anthony sexually abused his teenage daughter on her 16th birthday and is now tormenting her with his constant presence. Ruby has been disturbed since he landed in the village after Steph—a few episodes ago. Everything got so overwhelming that she ended up disclosing her secrets to Chas. After talking to Chas, she took a DNA test and learned that Caleb was not Steph’s father.
But in a surprising turn of events, Caleb misunderstood Ruby after seeing the results and kicked her out of the Mill Cottage. He thought Ruby probably cheated on him with someone else and lied for the last thirty years. Later, when Chas informs Caleb about what happened to Ruby as a teenager, he regretted his decision.
Elsewhere, Ruby lodged in a B&B after getting kicked, and as she opened her eyes the next morning—she found Anthony creepily staring at her in her room. He again tried to manipulate Ruby, but she couldn’t take it anymore. Soon, she snapped and revealed that he was the one who had fathered Steph.
As soon as the episode aired, fans came up with theories about Anthony’s next move. In the Emmerdale Facebook group, fans have shared speculations that Anthony’s next target of sexual abuse could be Steph herself. Someone agreed, and the another one linked his probable action to Anthony’s death plot. While there’s no confirmation yet, we cannot deny that the fan theory is interesting. What if before Anthony is killed, he lures her into his trap? After all, Steph is really fond of her granddad—and it won’t be hard for him to manipulate her.

At the Mill Cottage, things get better between Ruby and Caleb as he learns Ruby’s truth from Chas. In the Friday episode, we saw how hard he was trying to reconcile with Ruby and also asked her to trust him. Ruby is also finally relieved as the secret is out, and she can finally be honest with her husband about everything. But is Caleb being completely honest with Ruby?
Caleb has promised to support Ruby in every way he could—but it seems like he will soon be taking a tragic step. We saw him secretly taking the delivery of a gun—what is he planning? Next week, we will see a gunshot fired as Anthony dies—does Caleb have something to do with it? Would he also be able to save Steph from Anthony if it were to happen?
