Belle Dingle has finally made a move towards independence from her abusive husband, Tom King. Until now, Tom had her trapped in a remote cottage. Meanwhile, when Charity and Cain Dingle arrived at the messed-up cottage and found barely any sign of Belle, they feared the worst.
Viewers know Tom plans to isolate his wife from her family and friends. Last week, he took her on a ‘relaxing holiday,’ but it soon became apparent that this holiday would be anything but easy. When Belle confronted him about it, he made her feel crazy before locking her in the cottage.
Also, the abuser tied up Piper, the dog, to teach it ‘tough love.’ That’s when Belle realised she was in deep trouble. She quickly gave Piper food and escaped through the window just before Tom returned. Later, when she questioned Tom about the job, his rage exploded.
He hit her, and she had to lock herself in the bathroom. In a panic, poor Belle even cut her hand. Although Belle was terrified, she seized her chance to escape. She fled the cottage with Tom chasing her. When she reached the road, she desperately jumped onto an approaching bus.
Thankfully, the doors slammed shut just in time, and Belle left. Belle managed to run away from him, but it wasn’t the end. Tom won’t easily give up and might still be a threat. Also, the soap bosses have already warned that the drama is far from over and will continue until the end of the year.
