While Cain was arrested in the last episodes, Emmerdale spoilers suggest he will receive help from Andy Moore, aka PC Swirling. PC might help him when he is on his way to see Moira at the hospital and will probably come to the mechanic’s aid. But our fan instinct says he may have a bigger role to play here than just helping Cain out. Let’s find out.
Cain’s Guit Becomes Heavy
We all know how hard it has been for poor Moira – from going through a tumor revelation to undergoing the huge surgery. But similarly, it has been hard for her partner Cain, as he struggles to be at peace and is lashing out. Out of his reckless behavior and fear, Cain also ended up sleeping with Ruby while Moira was already undergoing surgery.
While Moira is safe now, and the surgery was a success – Cain hasn’t confessed to Moira about him and Ruby yet. While he is still shut about the betrayal, the guilt has become heavy for him to carry. Not finding a way out, he threatens to destroy everything and seems to lash out at everyone.
PC Swirling Shows Compassion
While the mechanic makes excuses, Moira worries that Cain won’t return home on time for her appointment. Her fears come true when Cain gets arrested by PC Swirling and is taken to the cell. However, knowing about Moira’s condition, Swirling showed compassion and opted against pressing charges.
When the officer goes in to inform Cain that he is free to go, he shows an attitude. But considering it out of stress, he doesn’t take it personally. Instead, he offers support, saying one of his aunts went through the same condition as Moira and advised him to put himself together to help Moira recover.
This isn’t the first time we see Swirling show this compassion, but will Cain take his advice and help Moira? We will have to wait for the latest Emmerdale spoilers to see how it all unfolds.
