During the dredging of the lake, the divers discovered a dead body. Soon, they identified the person to be Nate Robinson. When they informed Tracy about it she suspected Cain Dingle as he fought with him a day before he had to leave for Shetland. Soon, Cain became the prime suspect and the police investigated him. Due to the fight with his son, Nate Robinson’s troubles rose for the village bad boy.

Fortunately, Cain told the detectives that he called his son, Nate at the end of April. He shared that he called Nate a few weeks ago on his mobile and someone picked up the call.
Cain didn’t know who it was but he knew that he was listening to his messages. Meanwhile, the soap fans know that John Sugden was the one who picked up the call. He accidentally picked up Cain’s call as he had Nate’s phone but then cut the call immediately.
Another Prime Suspect In Nate’s Plot!
Meanwhile, soap fans are also aware that John Sugden while trying to prove his hero complex accidentally killed Nate after he fought with Cain. He gave him medication which led to the side effects and eventually killed him. So, in Thursday’s episode, Cain handed over the proof of his phone log to the police authorities and said he wouldn’t have called Nate if he had killed him. So, he asked them to let him go.
Elsewhere, in the upcoming episodes, besides Cain, another character in the village is suspected. Nate Robinson’s wife, Tracy is thought to be the prime suspect.
