Charity Dingle fought with Mack after she refused to have another baby with him. Then he had a one-night stand with Ross Barton. Meanwhile, she also decided to be Sarah’s surrogate after her operation went wrong.
However, she was uncertain whether she might be carrying Ross Barton’s baby. So a paternity test confirmed her fear, but she didn’t tell the truth to Ross. She faked the report and fooled him.
She wanted to carry on with the pregnancy and give the baby to Sarah and Jacob. But soon Vanessa realised that Charity was unsure about the baby’s parentage. She assumed that the grandmother might be carrying Mack’s baby. She told Mack about it. So he was furious. Mack drove her towards Manchester Airport. He was determined to tell the truth to Sarah before she and Jacob left for their honeymoon.
