Kim Tate Booted From Home Farm After Shocking Accusation
Kim Tate (Claire King) has been kicked out of Home Farm and is staying at the B&B. This comes after she was wrongly accused of spiking Dawn Fletcher’s drink. However, the actress hopes this change will only be temporary because she loves working with her ‘Home Farm’ family.
Talking about the future, she revealed, “I think there’ll probably be a bit of War of the Roses going on.” She suggested that this sparring could be beneficial for them. Despite the conflicts, they enjoy working together as actors, forming their own little families. They understand each other’s methods and systems.
The soap star highlighted that they have a good team and want to keep it together. Lately, Kim has grown close to Dawn, Billy Fletcher and their kids. She even lied to protect Billy when he broke social distancing rules meant to keep baby Evan safe.
Claire loves this new side of Kim. She explains that it’s been great to explore this new side of Kim, especially after a period of constant drama, insults, and revenge. Although she admits that her character’s dark side is fun to play, it could make the character feel stale and one-dimensional.
Actress Discusses Home Farm’s Perfect Balance
The ITV star noted that Kim now has more depth and balance. She added that her alter ego covered up for Billy to protect Dawn. Also, Kim’s relationship with her biological grandchild Thomas and his mother, Gabby, is very important to her. They have moved out of Home Farm to protect Evan.
The star mentioned that Kim is deeply affected by their absence. However, she understands that the move is necessary for Evan’s safety. Currently, the Home Farm lady is unaware of Gabby and Vinny Dingle’s budding romance. However, King believes Kim will eventually be happy for them.
She also appreciated how the storyline about Evan’s leukaemia has brought some profoundly emotional scenes. She said, “That’s one thing we always have in Home Farm, we have that balance. So we can have all the camp and drama going on but there’s also underlying stories that are quite serious and heartbreaking as well.”
The Kim actress expressed hope that the storyline will have a happy ending, although, in soap operas, the outcome is always uncertain.
