Emmerdale Spoilers Confirm Eric’s Desperate Plan
Emmerdale fans know, Eric has tried hard to get Brenda’s money, but all his attempts have failed. Ultimately, he resorted to a risky plan to burn his shop down and claim the insurance money to repay Brenda. Though he didn’t come clean, Kerry discovered inflammable materials during her visit and suspected his motive. Eventually, Eric admits his true intentions, which leaves Kerry horrified.
During an interview, Laura Norton, who plays the role of Kerry, has addressed that Kerry is shocked because she doesn’t want him to go down the same path she did five years ago. Kerry’s turmoil is tied to the incident that happened in 2019 when she and Amy accidentally started a fire that killed Frank Clayton. Frank jumped into the fire to save his daughter Tracy and ultimately sacrificed his life.
Though nobody knows the real reason, it’s a secret that’s still contained between the four—Kerry, Amy, Vanessa, and Tracy. Though it’s a storyline from 2019, the guilt is still heavy on Kerry, even though it’s not reflected. In the interview, Laura Norton also reflected on the fan backlash she faced due to her role in Frank’s death. Now that the storyline will be revisited in the soap, it seems like Kerry will grab this chance and use it for her redemption.
Kerry will probably come clean to Eric and accept the truth—but that will also put her central to the backlash of the whole village. Will she be able to take it? Or will she get over this and convince Eric not to go down the same lane? Only the upcoming Emmerdale spoilers can reveal. Until then, stay tuned to Soap Opera Daily for more soap updates!
