Emmerdale Spoilers reveal that the ITV drama took a shocking turn when the soap’s mainstay character, Will Taylor, unexpectedly died. Will had been conspiring with Peter and a mystery character to take down Kim Tate for good. However, Will had a change of heart regarding Kim, and he wanted to back out of the revenge plan. Unfortunately, due to the involvement of the mysterious third party, it became impossible for him to back out.
It was later revealed that the mystery man was none other than Kim’s step-grandson, Joe Tate. Although Joe wants revenge on Kim, he made it abundantly clear that he will take down anyone who stands in his path. Sadly, Will Taylor became the first casualty of his plan. Emmerdale Spoilers confirm that Will Taylor passed away after enduring a heart attack.
In recent episodes, Joe unexpectedly arrived at Will and Kim’s vow renewal ceremony and exposed Will’s part in Kim’s takedown plan. In fact, Joe pinned the entire plan on Will, which wasn’t actually true. Will tried to defend himself. But unfortunately, he suffered a heart attack and passed, before he could even finish explaining his side of the story.
While the family was grieving Will’s death, Charity told Billy about Joe’s shady past. Later, Billy and Dawn started wondering if Joe had a part to play in Will’s demise. In the December 30, 2024, episode, Dawn told Kim that she wanted to prepare for Will’s funeral. However, Kim advised Dawn to go slow and grieve first. But Dawn insisted that she wanted to do everything right, and not leave anything for the last minute.
Dawn even spoke about Will’s impending postmortem report. She then noticed how Joe’s body language changed when she mentioned the reports. She confided in Billy that she can sense something fishy, and that Joe definitely looked worried about Will’s postmortem. “He was trying to act like it was nothing, but he was stressing,” she pointed.
Later, Dan shared her suspicions with Kim. However, Kim stated that they can’t accuse anyone without proof. “You’re grieving Dawn, we all are. But we need to keep some sort of perspective,” Kim tried to shoot down Dawn’s accusations. But is Kim really not able to connect the dots here, or is she putting up an act?
