The latest Emmerdale spoilers hint at Ruby’s troubled future as she recalls her past from her 16th birthday. Things have never been easy for her, and now, when she has just started to mend her relationship with her daughter and father, her past is back to haunt her. We already know it was an assault – but who could it be that has scarred Ruby so badly?
Beth’s Troubled Past Haunts Her
As we already know, Ruby has been anxious since her father and daughter returned to her life. Though she tried her best, her past seemed to grip her feet tightly. But now, we see significant improvements in her relationship with her daughter, Steph. In the last episode, we saw the two going through old stuff together when Steph found Ruby’s 16th birthday picture. As soon as she sees it, we see her expressions changing, and she becomes pale- though she doesn’t reveal anything.
Later, she also experiences a flashback to her birthday when we see her with a boy. While we suspected this to be related to one of her boyfriends, fingers seemed to point at Anthony. As it turns out, she was assaulted by her father, Anthony, when she was just a teenager. We already know about her half-broken relationship with her father – all of a sudden, will this flashback end everything at once? The worst part is that she hasn’t confided in anybody about this – not even Caleb – and tolerates all the heat alone.
Fans Praise Beth’s Performance
Beth Cordingly, who plays Ruby onscreen, has blown her fans away with her incredible performance in the scene where she deals with flashbacks.
