In the previous episode, a huge fight happened between Tates and Kings. Nicola and Dawn learned that Lucas hit Carl. Nicola started protecting her son without knowing the reason for the fight. Meanwhile, when Dawn told Lucas to apologise to Carl, he denied. He said that he was glad to hit him, leaving Nicola more furious. However, the reason for the fight was out. Everyone was in a state of shock as the reason led to the involvement of the police.
Lucas hit Carl as the latter shared an indecent picture of Clemmie in a group chat. Thus, Lucas, being a protective brother, smacked him. Thus, unknowingly, both Clemmie and Carl committed an offence. Meanwhile, Dawn was frustrated to learn how the young lad tricked her daughter into sharing a picture. Joe Tate was also furious, and the couple decided to take the case further.

However, the story is going to take a turn in the further episodes. Joe learns that the police won’t take the case further. But he isn’t satisfied, as he is determined to prove himself as a better father than Billy Fletcher. Joe is angry.
He takes his big car out for a drive while his mind is somewhere else. He speeds through the Country Lanes while he thinks about the injustice of Clemmie’s case. However, Joe’s distracted mind soon leads to an accident as he hits someone with his car. He goes to see who he has hit, but with the intention of driving off quickly.
Joe realises that Jimmy King is the victim. Though he hates him, he doesn’t want him to die. However, Joe is also concerned for himself as he doesn’t want to take the blame for hitting him.
