Kerry Attempts To Free Matty From Jail
Kerry Wyatt makes a blunder in an attempt to free Matty Barton from prison. Viewers already know that Matty is still in prison after being wrongly accused of stabbing Samson Dingle. However, Josh Cope is the real culprit behind it all. Previously, Moira threatened Samson in the Woolpack toilets over confessing the truth.
In the most recent episode, Kerry plots to get revenge for her daughter, Amy Wyatt’s husband, Matty. This comes after Amy receives a call from the prison, where Matty is terrified he’ll be attacked by his cellmate. When the real culprit, Josh, comes to the Woolpack for a drink, Kerry finds her perfect opportunity.
She tries to get Josh to confess he was behind Samson’s stabbing. However, her plan derails as Samson and Charity show up just in time and expose Kerry’s connection to Matty. Kerry quickly quips that the “thick idiot” is about to reveal everything as Charity orders her back to work.

Soon after, Kerry accuses her boss of trying to sweep the issue under the carpet. Samson defends himself by shouting that he has done nothing wrong. This prompts Kerry to snap back, calling him a ‘little scumbag’ for raising his voice at her. As a result, Charity fires Amy’s mum from her job.
Later, Moira finds Kerry and Amy outside the pub. While Amy is worried about teh future, Moira has no clue what to do next. Meanwhile, Samson watches them from afar.
