The newcomer, Jaye Griffiths who is playing Celia in the soap entered the village on June 30. When she came she asked Moira Dingle to enquire about some land. Though Moira Dingle and Paddy Kirk will be Celia’s enemies, another person in the village will soon hate her too. The actor told the Sun that her character will cross paths with Kim. So an upcoming danger lies ahead.
Jaye Griffiths said that though Moira will face Celia’s anger, soon she will have tense scenes with Kim Tate. Both of them are bold and aren’t afraid to speak up. Furthermore Celia won’t undermine herself to make everyone feel comfortable. She isn’t a woman who apologises. Celia is determined to get what she desires. Everyone has to be careful with her.
Kim Tate And Celia Are A Bit Different!
Though there are many similarities between Kim Tate and the new arrival, there is one thing that makes them different. This thing is dangerous, too. Kim Tate is also an antagonist, but has some humanity. Meanwhile, the new arrival, Celia, lacks humanity as she is very cold. There are times when Kim Tate recognises her mistakes, while Celia never does. Most women of Celia’s age would step back, but she won’t. The soap actor teased that together, both characters will form a strong team.
Jaye Griffiths shared that she is excited to play the character, as it is rare to play such roles where women don’t care about other people. She is unapologetic and doesn’t care what others think. When Celia wants something, she reads the people. She reframes reality and contradicts herself, making people baffled. She doesn’t even remember what lies she told people.
