The actor said he probably tried the NHS route, which provides brilliant service. However, there is a drawback – the long waiting lists. Meanwhile, Joe believes his life is more important than others and would do anything to jump that list.
Knowing he only has just a few months left, Joe feels he can’t wait for four or five months to get his transplant done properly, leading him to resort to extreme measures.
When asked if there could be a battle between the Miligans and Dingle if Joe gets caught Ned said that one can always expect some drama in the show. He also hinted that it would be interesting to see clashes between these two strong families. He added that a big drama between Dingle, Miligans and Tate would be something that fans would love. A soap where everything goes smoothly or where everyone is happy seems dull. This would make it quite intriguing.

But then he ordered his accomplice, Shawn to stab him. He brought Caleb to the hospital. Though he flatlined the Cobbles doctor successfully performed the transplant.
