After the operation, Joe Tate and the doctor left Dales. But Joe returned due to Dawn Fletcher. Meanwhile, in the upcoming episodes, Joe fires Shaun for his disloyalty. He plans to flee due to the threats.
However, before he could leave the village, Shaun hit him with a shovel. Joe ends up being in a hospital makeshift with Dr. Crowley looming over him. What will he do? Though Dr. Crowley is dangerous for Joe Tate, in real life, both the soap actors share a lovely bond. Ned Poteous, who plays Joe Tate, shared that he loved the comeback of Dr.Crowley, played by James Hillier. He said that he is a lovely guy and he loves working with him.

Ned Porteous said that, as Joe will be at the mercy of Crowley, every actor should try to find their vulnerabilities and weaknesses in their character, as it helps them act more realistically.
