The soap fans have watched Celia’s operation growing from manipulation to exploitation. She grooms vulnerable teens into drug running, sexual exploitation and murder. Ray and Celia have involved April in their operation. However, last week’s episode led to many complaints. On December 2 and December 4, Ofcom logged 59 and 297 complaints. The episode showed April finally confessing to her family. She told the truth to Marlon and Rhona.
But the situation turned terrifying. Celia threatened April’s family. She issued an order to Ray to murder Dylan and showed the live video to April’s family. They also went to the police but didn’t get any help. Thus, the lack of support, along with Celia’s cruelty, made the episodes uncomfortable.
Earlier, Ofcom had received more than 100 complaints. This happened when the drug dealers tricked April into going to a hotel room where a man paid to rape her. But April escaped. Later, another client came, but she hit him. She thought that she had killed him. So she told Ray about it, and they covered the situation. But she doesn’t know that he is alive.

Elsewhere, Jaye Griffiths, who plays Celia, spoke about it. Her operation has been slipping away, but she has been panicking. She doesn’t flinch easily. She said that Celia has bigger problems to deal with. Most of her mules are young people. She has many contingency plans. So this is a common problem. Furthermore, Celia doesn’t fully trust Ray as he is inconsistent in his behaviour.
The actor added that April is becoming a liability. She is getting more chances. They also pushed her away from her loved ones. Thus, the scenes will be more chilling.
