Emmerdale Spoilers recall that Ruby’s life was thrown for a loop when her father and her daughter arrived in town. Ruby has always had a strained relationship with her daughter, Steph, while also sharing a sordid past with her father. Although she never spoke about the reasons behind it with anyone. But in recent episodes, parts of her sordid past started to come to light.
In a very emotional and hard-hitting episode, it was revealed that Ruby’s father, Anthony, had sexually abused her when she was a teenager. Now, the latest Emmerdale Spoilers reveal that there is a faint possibility that Steph is actually Anthony’s daughter. If this is indeed true, then it would explain why Ruby has always had a strained relationship with her daughter. She perhaps reminded her of the atrocities her father had put her through.
In the January 3, 2-25, episode of the ITV drama, Chad asked Ruby to help her find April. However, Ruby shows up drunk after having yet another clash with her family. Understandably, Chas became increasingly concerned about what was going on with Ruby. It ultimately led to an argument between the duo. Ruby then admitted that she had sent Steph away to boarding school to keep her safe.
Should Ruby Tell Cain?
After Chas started making sense of what Ruby was hinting at, she urged her to talk to Cain. However, Ruby declined the suggestion and told Chas, “Caleb, can’t help… He might not be her dad.” Ruby finally opened up to Chas about her heartbreaking past. She told Chas that she was sexually assaulted and that she hoped her abuser wasn’t Steph’s father.
However, Ruby still kept the lid tight on who her abuser was. Even when Chas tried to ask the name, she replied that it was just some lad. Furthermore, she urged Chas to keep it a secret and not tell Cain. Will Chas comply? Stay tuned to Soap Opera Daily for more Emmerdale Spoilers to find out.
